If your BMW E46 has the BMW factory fitted CD/Tape player with the climate controls directly below you will require a Heater Controls Relocation Panel. There are two variants of this part (different sizes), this item is for the Multi Slot version BMW Part no. 51168230903. If above your sunglass holder looks similar to the picture shown or you have two or more buttons in this area than this is most likely the relocation kit required.
